My interest in pets started at a young age. After graduating from Colchester High School, I attended Vermont Technical College. I graduated with honors, receiving an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. I passed the National Professional Exam for Veterinary Technicians and worked at veterinary hospitals for 10 years as a Certified Vet Tech. After attending the Arizona Pet Grooming School in 2001, I began grooming.
Currently, I have completed Level I Reiki training. I continue to educate myself as well as my clients about proper pet nutrition and natural wellness supplements. My grooming areas of interest are special needs pets and pets that may be "hard to handle". I am enjoying learning hand stripping of wire coats. I love all breeds, but truly enjoy the specialty clips of Irish Terriers, Schnauzers, Scotties, Bouviers, and all terrier type breeds. I have a great affection for cats and cat grooming.
I live in Milton Vermont with my husband, Mike, and daughter, Kelsey. We love living in the company of Allie, the Chihuahua, Ziggy, the Pekingese, Cabot, the tabby cat, Milton, the 3-legged black & white cat, Rosie, the red headed Guinea Pig, and Cookie, the black & white Guinea Pig. We miss Webster (1996-2009), Maya (?-2009), Izzy (1993-2004) and KittyMan(1997-2008) from our daily lives.
I enjoy spending my free time listening to Kelsey practice her flute, going to local concerts & theater productions, reading, and crafting. I also enjoy volunteering as secretary of the Family Readiness Group for the 3/126 Air Ambulance Company, and co-leader of the Children's Choir at Cornerstone Community Church.
