Crystal Smith

I started grooming in 1989 at a shop in Madeira Beach, Florida where I apprenticed with Certified Master Groomer Cheryl Brown. I've been at Doggie Styles since spring of 2005. My passions are Poodles and Bichons. I also absolutely love the occassional Collie.

I have three dogs: Viggo, my flamboyant Standard Poodle; Wickit, my Shih Tzu; and Murphy, my Miniature Poodle. I also have three cats: Smeegol, Bitsey and Trina. Living amongst me and my menagerie are my husband Austin and stepson Chance.

In my spare time I ride and train horses and teach riding lessons on my small farm in Isle la Motte, Vermont. I have six horses: Tristan, a rescued ex-racehorse; Lacey, a Quarter Horse; Willow, an American Sport Horse; Mia, a Shetland Pony; and Zen and Lexie, two horses I saved from slaughter. My sister's horse, Vinny also lives with me.

I'm also trying to learn the fine art of gardening. Hiking my dogs, boating and car shows round out my hobbies!
